What Is 8 Ball Pro?
8 Ball Pro is a browser based web game, meaning you can play instantly on desktop, tablet, or mobile—no downloads, installation or registration required.
How to Play 8 Ball Pro
1. Rack & Break
The game starts with balls arranged in a triangle, with the black 8-ball in the center. Break the rack by striking the cue ball from behind the line.
2. Choose Solids or Stripes
Once you sink a solid ball (1–7) or a striped ball (9–15), that group becomes yours. Your goal is to clear your group and then legally pot the 8-ball to win.
3. Turns & Fouls
Pocket one of your balls to keep shooting; miss and your turn ends.
Hitting the 8-ball too early or sinking it before clearing your group is an instant loss.
If you scratch (sink the cue ball), your opponent gets ball-in-hand.
4. Winning the Game
Clear all of your assigned balls first, then legally pocket the 8-ball in the designated pocket to win.
5. Controls & Spin
Click, drag, and release to shoot.
Adjust the red dot on the cue ball to add spin.
Move the cue ball (when allowed) before taking your shot.
